Silas Hicks, 5-yr old son of Bronwen and Mike Hicks of Oak Grove, received First Place in the mutton busting category at the American Royal Youth Invitational in November 2008 and was sponsored by McDonalds.  He also performed at the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association Rodeo the following week in Kansas City and was sponsored by the law firm of Lathrop & Gage.
